For Squadron 42, I worked on gameplay and level design using CryEngine, focusing on the creation and refinement of first-person and flight-based gameplay experiences. My responsibilities included developing and scripting gameplay interactions, mission logic, and environmental challenges to support player engagement and pacing. I designed FPS map layouts from early greybox stages through iteration and polish, leveraging both new and existing level assets. Throughout the process, I emphasised interactive and dynamic environments that reinforced the game’s design goals and enhanced overall player immersion.
For Judas, I contributed to the design and implementation of core gameplay systems and levels within Unreal Engine, utilising Blueprint scripting to create AI triggers, mission logic, combat systems, traversal mechanics, and interactive environments. My work included developing comprehensive game and technical design documents that detailed systems, missions, and gameplay mechanics. I collaborated closely with technical designers, artists, animators, and producers, always! Additionally, I designed and implemented enemy behaviors and encounters aligned with the game’s themes and narrative tone and prototyped both first and third-person layouts with careful attention to traversal flow, player readability, and environmental composition to enhance overall gameplay and fun!
